Students begin exploring Eastern Religions & Buddhism. We read, "The Life of Gotama The Buddha".
After reading the story, students created a comic strip that explained the life of the Buddha and his transformation from a young boy to the Buddha. On the back of the comic strip, students wrote a response to the following questions:
1. Should the Buddha's father have let him leave the house and experience life?
2. Would the Buddha have had a better life if he stayed at home?
3. What type of life is best, one of pleasure without experiencing reality (pain and suffering) or one of reality (pain and suffering) that may not experience pleasure?
4. Is it possible to eliminate pain an suffering from life?
