C Period Honors - Students read from the textbook about Daoism / Taoism and took notes. We then examined quotes from the Tao Te Ching to get a better understanding of Taoist philosophy. Students then began a review of all four Eastern Religions by creating a biography poem for each religion.
C Period Honors Homework - Eastern Religion Dialogue: Imagine that a member of each of these four Eastern Religions is sitting at a table discussing, arguing and finding common ground in the group. Create a dialogue of this meeting where each person speaks a minimum of four (4) times.
D, E & F Period - Students began to examine Confucianism by reading through a short summary of Confucian thought and creating a web of ideas that explains basic concepts. Students then examined a number of quotes from Confucius to get a better understanding of Confucian philosophy.
D, E & F Period Homework - Read the Daoism section on pg. 98 from the textbook. On the back of the Daoism quote sheet, takes notes from the reading. Then, explain the meaning of each quote from the Tao Te Ching.
