All Classes: We began our first unit on Eastern Religions. To begin, students voted through text messaging about three ideas central to Buddhism. We then read the story of Gotama the Buddha, which explained how the young Indian prince transformed to the Buddha.
Homework: Students are to create a comic strip / drawings that retells the story of the life of the Buddha from his days as a prince to the beginning of his religious life.
