C Period Honors World Studies: There is an oral exam on Thursday on the Russian Revolution. Each of you will be given 5 minutes to demonstrate your understanding of the topic. You may use a note card, typed or handwritten notes while defending your understanding. When I listen to your response over April break, you want to make sure that when I am done listening, it is extremely clear that you understand the history and impact of the Russian Revolution and Stalin's rule.
Here are some ideas to keep in mind:
- How did the revolution occur and what were the goals of the revolution?
- How did the goals of the revolution change over time & who was responsible?
- How did Stalin impact Russia?
- Evaluate (form an opinion on) Stalin's leadership and the reaction to his death.
- Why should the Russian Revolution be studied by high school freshman?
